Zendaya understood the assignment, not many people can pull off a head-to-toe hot pink look, but Zendaya sure did. She attended Valentino's fall/winter 2022 runway show in Paris last Sunday and it's clear that she understood the assignment. Dressing stylishly on theme, Zendaya is also the new face of the
Maison, suited up in a neon pink double-breasted blazer that was embroidered with floral appliqués, matching pants, and shirt in the same colour. Her platform heels were also in a striking fuchsia that tied her entire look together.
Valentino's fall/winter 2022 - Paris Fashion week
Every look on the runway was pink a vivid tone of fuchsia, or it was black. PierPaolo Piccioli creative director of Valentino claimed he’d selected this colour instead of the famous Valentino red, or any other colour. Picciolo stated he had chosen what he called “monotone” to remove distractions and concentrate the viewers eyes on distinguishing the differences between silhouette and detail. That theory played throughout the collection of 81 looks.
“I wanted to use one colour to highlight fashion as
cut, design, silhouette, shapes, volumes, textures”
Pierpaolo Piccioli
Highlights from the fashion show:
Below are some of our favourite looks from the runway show. Featuring Architectural influences, jumpsuit featuring a wavy, structured neckline followed by a dynamic half-cup bra and full midi skirt open, followed by more fluid silhouettes. A sheer organza shirt with puffed sleeves is tucked into a pair of watery, low rise trousers.
5 facts from the collection:
