Just say the word Monaco and peoples eyes light up. You don’t need really anything to inspire you to visit Monaco. Although summer is coming to an end you can still make the most of Monacos beauty and September/October are also great times to visit. keep reading to find out the hottest places to visit when in Monaco.

Monaco is also the world’s second smallest monarchy, not officially a part of France, Monaco is the second smallest country in the world, only Vatican City is smaller.



In Monaco you can easily walk everywhere, keep reading to see the places we recommend.


Monte-Carlo

Monte-Carlo is the most glamorous district, found in a beautiful picturesque setting north of Port Hercule, overlooking the bay. It is home to the celebrated Monte Carlo Casino. This glamorous palace is full of frescoes, sculptures, and features an amazing gold and marble atrium.


Things to do


Prince's Palace of Monaco - Here you can find The Princes Palace, and the Port. This is the official residence of the ruling Prince of Monaco. The castle has been the home of the Grimaldi dynasty since the end of the 13th century.


Princes grace botanical garden - Located in Fontvieille Park on Avenue des Guelfes. Princess Grace Botanical Garden opened in 1984 by Prince Rainier III in memory of his wife Princess Grace. The garden was intended to showcase both English and Mediterranean plants and flowers.



The princes car museum - The Princes’s personal collection is a must see, Prince Rainier III automotive collection holds 100 years of automotive history. His collection gradually grew over the years as he acquired more and more models.



Beaches

Larvotto Beach - At Larvotto Beach your bare feet pad along pebbles rather than sand. Located on the eastern edge of Monaco’s coastline, the beach is renowned for its clean, crystalline water.


Nikki beach club - Located on the rooftop of the Fairmont Monte Carlo, Nikki Beach creates a lively atmosphere around the pool on the 7th floor with breathtaking views of the city and Mediterranean Sea.


Fun fact: Avenue Princess Grace located alongside Larvotto Beach used to be the world’s most expensive street to live on.

Restaurants:


Cipriani - Cipriani Monte Carlo in located in the center of the Monaco Principality This world-known classy and elegant Italian restaurant has a warm interior with slick mahogany walls, polished steel, mirrors, and prestigious marble floors.


Buddha bar - The Buddha Bar in Monaco is a special place, located in Place Du Casino. It is known as highly for being a bar as it is for being a restaurant. This is a must-see, must-do venue on your trip to Monaco.


Sumusan twiga - This is the best place for a dinner with a view, the location of the restaurant, lounge and club is the second floor of the Grimaldi Forum – with panoramic views of Monaco and the Mediterranean sea, serving innovative Japanese cuisine.



Hotels:

In Monaco you’ll find numerous gorgeous five-star hotels with Michelin-starred restaurants and incredible Mediterranean views.


Located in a building from 1864 in Monte Carlo, Hôtel de Paris has a wine cellar and is located next to the Casino de Monaco. It features an American-style piano bar and 2 restaurants with views of the famous Place du Casino.


Café de Paris Monte-Carlo, is a Monaco hotspot featuring a brasserie ambience and the finest quality products.


Metropole offers a boutique experience with amazing staff, exceptional food including the breakfast and room service, and is right above the Metropole shopping center which has great designer stores and a supermarket.


Hôtel Hermitage is in the very heart of the Principality of Monaco. Hermitage was built in the early 1900s and is one of the two best luxury hotels in Monte Carlo. Its competitor is the Hotel De Paris.
