The Italian fashion house Prada has recently opened a stylish new pop-up cafe inside Harrods department store. Open from 9am - 9pm, serving everything from breakfast through to cocktails and nibbles and delicious cakes. The cafe is on the ground floor of the store until the end of the year.
The fashion house says the cafe has been inspired by Prada stores, like its first one in Milan at the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. It's all pale green with tableware designed specifically for this popup.
The black-and-white floor echoes the brand’s iconic monochrome design, while the walls, ceilings and sofas are styled with the brand’s elegant signature pale green colour.
All the tableware is original and exclusive, selected by Prada to complement the surroundings: think pale-blue Japanese porcelain with a contrasting double black line and crystal glasses showcasing the emphasis on the iconic Prada triangle motif.
The Menu
With a modern take on Italian food and beverages, for breakfast, the cafe serves Italian coffee and a sweet treat known as faggotini that comes stuffed with gooey dark chocolate, pistachio cream, and raspberry jam.
Dishes like yogurt and granola, eggs florentine, also caviar which is offered from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The lunch menu offers starters and mains ranging from burrata and zucchini to ricotta cannelloni with black truffle.
The cakes are decorated with the iconic triangular Prada logo, and there is a floor-to-ceiling display of branded chocolates and luxury candies.
